Join us for a Women's Retreat at

Zion National Park

OCTOBER 21 – 27, 2024

One of the most unique and breathtaking settings on the planet. Zion Canyon is a 15-mile long, 2,600-foot-deep gorge. Colorful sandstone walls sit at the nexus of desert, forest, and river biospheres which are rarely found in such close proximity. The park’s elevation changes of about 5,000 feet contributes to its diverse habitats and species. Native Americans inhabited this region for more than 8,000 years. Today, Zion is known for its excellent hiking, spectacular landscapes, and diversity of wildlife.

During my first visit to Zion, I felt the desire to paint. I couldn’t take my eyes off the colors, veins, and layers of the sandstone monoliths. There were so many visual sensations happening at the same time I felt like I couldn’t blink. I was also acutely aware of my other senses. IT WAS HOT! We were there in July, and it was over 100. I was sweating nonstop. But there were moments of extreme cold too. The water in the narrows was freezing. Like take-your-breath-away cold. It was way too cold for me to jump in to cool off. Other parts of the park were filled with ferns growing out of the walls like a jungle. They were so green! There was moss and slime from the constant flow of water. The combination of the stark differences in landscape and foliage didn’t make sense to me because it felt like we were in the desert and the jungle. There were blooming flowers, bees, and butterflies all around. In other parts of the park, it was a dry dusty desert.

That trip was 5 months after being shot in the head! My girls had to help me navigate walking in the narrows. Even with all the adverse elements of the extreme weather and my physical and mental condition, I couldn’t stop smiling and looking around with awe and amazement at the wonders that surrounded me. We went back two years later and brought my son and husband. During that trip, I experienced the same jolt of excitement and enthusiasm. I couldn’t contain myself as I wanted to show them everything we had seen.

My hope with this retreat is to provide you with the same opportunity to be dazzled by the wonder of the park in a more moderate climate, and in a relaxing way, so you can soak it in and feel how it changes you.

If you’re one of those people who think traveling with “strangers” to a hiking wellness adventure retreat will be “weird”, I challenge you to journey outside of your comfort zone to experience the unexpected with us. Together we will build trust as we explore places and support each other along the way.

If you feel your heart urging you to take a chance on yourself, to explore the unknown, I invite you to join us in Zion.

Meet Your Guides (Wellness & Intuitive Workers)

Liane Olin is the owner and founder of Liane Olin Coaching, LLC. She began leading wellness hikes after being shot in the head in 2017. Hiking became a business helping women overcome trauma, pain, relationships, and stress using the outdoors as a platform for healing. Liane is now a Wellness Coach who works with private clients and groups using mindfulness practices. Liane also teaches Wellness in the Outdoors at the Conejo Valley Adult School and hosts outdoor wellness events throughout the year. Retreats are an extended offering providing women the opportunity to connect with like-minded people. During these events we pivot between travel, exploration, and movement with time for stillness, reflection, and attention on mind-body balance.

Joining Liane Olin on this retreat is her good friend and meditation companion, Lisa Halub

Lisa Halub is the owner and founder of The Lighted Pathway. She is an Intuitive Life Coach specializing in energy alignment and “emotion massage” helping individuals and business find greater ease, happiness, and success. While developing her intuitive skills and living a “left-brained” life first an accountant, then as a medical librarian and administrator, she realized she has a knack for explaining a client’s energetic and epigenetic connections in a truly enlightening and pragmatic way creating a noticeable shift even in one session. As a former librarian and avid puzzler, she enjoys the opportunity to provide “reference services” while guiding her clients to solutions for their life puzzles. She believes that the more people live from their heart, the more peace and happiness we will see in the world.
